Best Finger Lakes Farmers Market
Ithaca Farmers Market Rochester Public Market

The Ithaca Farmers Market is an owner –operated cooperative market with over 160 members, a board of directors and 2 employees. Since it’s conception 40 years ago, the market has offered farmers, artisans, bakers, food producers, townspeople and tourists the opportunity to come together in a relaxed social atmosphere to find all sorts of products grown and produced within a thirty mile radius of our main home, the market pavilion.
On Saturdays and Sundays from April thru December, we are located in a beautiful setting on the waterfront at historic Steamboat Landing, selling local products from a covered pavilion that the members built 23 years ago. In addition, because of public demand, we have expanded to three other locations within the City of Ithaca. Thanks to our great success we are now open 52 weeks a year, moving indoors from January through March.

The Rochester Public Market is a century-old tradition in Greater Rochester and an enjoyable year-round alternative to conventional supermarkets. The Market is a unique place and experience that immerses you in the diversity, color and culture of the City and wider community. The current Marketplace includes over 300 vendor stalls, located both indoors and out. At the Market, you’ll find fresh vegetables, fruit, meats, fish, specialty foods, art, clothing, curiosities and more. Bargains is the buzz word at the market – bargains that are possible because you are buying directly from the producer and not paying extra for packaging, extensive transportation or a multitude of middlemen! The vendor sheds are surrounded by a variety of thriving businesses that are a part of the wider Marketview Heights Neighborhood’s Public Market District. A visit to the market will allow you to experience the traditions of local family enterprise, the community-wide economic and health benefits of local buying and the convenience and comfort of modern facilities.
