Overview

At Slice, Dice and Spice NY events past, nine chefs from around the Finger Lakes battled it out with their teams of amateur foodies to determine who is the ultimate Finger Lakes chef. Each heat was given 60 minutes and with a goal to cook to a specific Finger Lakes Experience, using Finger Lakes and NY State ingredients.The theme for their Finger Lakes Experience was given to the teams, just before the start of the clocks. The third annual Slice, Dice and Spice NY included:

- Preliminary Rounds:  September  13th at noon til 8:00 PM at the New York Wine & Culinary Center in Canandaigua.

- Final Round: Sept. 19, 1 PM to 4 PM at the New York Wine & Culinary Center. This event will include tasting tables for local restaurants and wineries, an awards ceremony and door prizes. The final round is open to the public and media.

- Live Streaming Video direct from the New York Wine & Culinary Center’s Hands on Kitchen.

This New York Pro-Am Culinary Challenge is a tourism initiative event that highlights the culinary and agricultural assets of our beautiful and bountiful Finger Lakes Region.

The Finger Lakes Region produces an amazing array of foods on more than 2 million acres of farmland. Your favorite and common staples, cutting-edge varietals and rediscovered heirlooms sprout from this unique landscape.

There are so many ways to access this resource: Farm Markets and Farmers Markets, restaurants that feature local fare and even online ~ for fresh from the farm juices and produce. “Great Gifts Grow on Trees!”
